Clan Description
The Dál gCais (also Dal Cais) were a dynastic group of related septs located in north Munster, and who rose to political prominence in the early medieval era in Ireland. They claimed descent from Cas mac Conall Echlúath, though in later times for reasons of political expediency they claimed descent from the ancestor of the Eóganachta Kings of Munster, Oilliol Olum.
In early historic Ireland they were an obscure group, one of many of the subject peoples of the Éoganacht. In the seventh and eighth centuries, when the overkingdom of Uí Fiachrach Aidhne fell into decline, they moved north and annexed Tuadh Mumhan. Previously part of Connacht, it became part of Munster.
Thomond was to remain the heartland of the Dal gCais and its septs; it is most especially associated with the family of O"Brien, who reigned as its kings from the 930s to 1543, and from 1543 to the present day as Baron Inchiquin. The current incumbent (18th Baron Inchiquin) is Conor O"Brien; a thirty-second generation descendant of Brian Boru (High King of Ireland, 1002-1014. He is also known simply as The O"Brien, and is Chief of the Name, Prince of Thomond.
Unknown to the outside world and to many in the clan itself, this sept has long been host to Werewolf blood, most born of parents decended of the old blood, with new members being brought in as needed. This clan within a clan still holds on to the old ways, standing and hunting the blood drinkers instead of going into hiding like so many others have in the past. They refuse to give up lands they have hunted for well over 1000 years to an outsider race that does not respect the old ways.

Clan News: Hey guys, Cow Nose the 50 Pound Cat here. I just wanted to ask anyone who gets a good amount of gold (50+) from a vampire to post their name on the forums so we can work as a clan to take all their gold. I have decided to create a sub board specificly for this game on my forum, which is mostly dedicated to the free browser based zombie apocalypse game Urban Dead. The link is below.

Joining: Any one is welcomed to join the Dál gCais, any level, from any backround. We have no requirements other than having a hunger for battle.

Donations: just decided to check back in and i saw we had enough gold in the coffers to upgraded the clan domicile all the way to level 9! we can now have up to 55 members in the clan. ~bullgod-July 18th, 07
Any member that donates more than 250 gold will be given the title Patron. for now the only ranks to be had are Kinsmen, Patron, and Elder(admin).
