Character description
Born 18 years ago Blade was considered a bright child, however his overbearing father always pressured him into sports, one thing Blade didn't enjoy.
At the age of 14 Blade ran away, hitchhiking across the country, eventually he arrived in Boston, Massachusetts and decided to take a ship to London.
There he met a woman, Lily.
Blade was overwhelmed by her quaint beauty. She was quite tall for a woman at 5'11 and also very pale with long crimson hair reaching down below her shoulders.
She always seemed to know exactly what to say to make Blade smile, what to say to make Blade laugh, and Blade quickly fell in love with this woman.
A year has passed now and around comes Blade's 15th birthday.
He realizes he doesn't know Lily's birthday so he asks.
She claims she doesn't remember.
Lily offers to take Blade out for dinner for his birthday, also mentioning she had a surprise for him.
They walked the dark streets of London to a small, dusty and damp restraunt.
Blade orders chicken while Lily orders 'The Special'
They eat, making idle chatter about the past 8 months for which they've known each other.
They eventually start talking about their love lives and Lily rests her hands on Blade's and plainly states 'Blade, I love you'
Blade is shocked, but acts calm and simply says, 'I love you too'
Lily starts crying and says 'I want to be with you forever... But...'
She resumes her tears as Blade pays for the check and helps her up and out of the restraunt.
Outside of the restraunt Blade wraps his arms around her and says, 'I would do anything to be with you, forever'
Lily smiles, looks up at him, kisses him gently and says, 'Forgive me for this'
Lily swoops in and bites Blade's neck.
Blade screams, but to his surprise it doesn't hurt.
Lily says 'Now to be with me forever all you must do is drink of my blood.'
Blade says 'What are you?'
Lily says, 'A vampire....'
Lily slits her wrists and pours her blood into a chalice she pulls from her jacket. She hands the glass to Blade and says, 'It's your choice'
Blade looks up at her and smiles. He grabs the cup and drinks deeply, swallowing her blood...
And such is the birth of a legacy.
