Vampire Filter
Character description
It seems not so long ago that I was wasting my life away in search for my own meaning - that which one can possess only with a finite lifespan. I knew as well as I do now how much of a joke that being alive was.. just as equally useful as being dead. Wandering through the forest one night near the breaking point of my sanity, as luck would have it, I was maliciously attacked by a female vampire. As I lay there dying I had a vision of what it meant to be alive - that being the freedom of enjoyment and that which I could no longer savor. My world was consumed by darkness.
I still can not recall all of what happened after I perished... a river of glowing lights..
I do however recall quite clearly as I stood before what I somehow knew to be the afterlife but I could not find the power to enter... for I was bound in chains, being dragged back through oblivion by the monster that destroyed me. I somehow knew that this vampire (as what happens when one turns a human) sought to enslave me. Upon knowing her scheme I tried with all my might to free myself and to my (as well as my assailant's) disbelief, the chains shattered and i was thrust out of the abyss.
When I woke up, I was not the same - a vampire, but in the service of no master... and all that I had previously believed to be true about living was henceforth so.
