Orphaned nearly as soon as he was born, Vaelentide was adopted by a family who had a comfortable lifestyle but were never rich. The Korvoraks had connections with the Vampire clans in nearby districts but never agreed to becoming bitten. Vaelentide developed a deep loyalty to the Vampire race; hunting Lycans, harvesting blood and finding more recruits, all the time remaining human. After a near death incident caused by some pious cultists, Vaelentide was ordered by the Vampire Lich of the area to be bitten in order to survive and continue his service. After being bitten he began to travel from district to district, serving various Vampire clans in exchange for gold and blood. Some say he has actually been initiated into a few clans.
