She remembered the first time she bit her first victim...the smell of freshly drawn blood, the pinging metallic taste, the dark crimson color, the feeling of empowering she got when the blood flowed inside her veins. Now, old and brought to her knees by her artrites, she stretched her hand and grabbed the fridge's handle. Then, slowly as if she feared she might loose control of her legs, she took out a blood IV drip. At a snail's pace she dragged herself back to her swinging chair and sat down. On the little table beside her there was a tray with a champagne glass and the TV remote control on it. She turned the TV on VH1 and she filled her glass. In less than one minute she dozed off.
