Werewolf MrWizzard
Character description
Dr J "Wizzard" was working late in his laboratory on a strange sample of blood found at a murder scene, stolen from the local police. The local police had no clue, but Wizzard believed it to be a sample of vampire blood.
He thought he heard some noises outside the premises, but the mirrors mounted above the laboratory's high windows revealed nothing. Then he swore he could make out the sound of a dog growling, only...
...This wasn't an ordinary canine. Korlen was a werewolf, and he was on a hunt. Not for human flesh, but for vampires. He was stalking one who had a peculiar interest in this strange laboratory and whatever this human was working with. There was a full moon about, and he was on the prowl.
The mad scientist didn't have any idea there were two hunts going on at his lab tonight. He figured the noises he heard were a vampire, or possibly THE vampire coming after his blood sample. This would explain the lack of a reflection in his mirrors. He did not realize there was a werewolf hunting this vampire as well.
The war had raged for centuries. For the longest time, the humans had no idea what was going on, but recently they have been getting wiser about the vampire's nocturnal activities. This vampire was to clean up a mess. A cleanup, which fortunately, the human here had already done half the work! Guarded at the police department, the blood sample would have been much more difficult to attain, but here, there weren't even any guards! Still, he'd seen the crossbow laying on the table the scientist was working on. He needed to be careful not to make a sound. If he could just get within striking distance...
Korlen, the werewolf, was relatively sure the vampire had no idea he was here, though he himself had no idea why the vampire was stalking this human so carefully. Easy meal.
Just as the vampire was about to strike, the scientist in one daft move, snatched the crossbow, wheeled around and fired. The vampire, startled redirected his strike, and lunged to the side, causing the scientist to miss. The scientist, however, froze in terror. In midair, was a snarling wolf, or what looked like a wolf, only larger. And much angrier. The bolt that was meant for the vampire grazed the left shoulder of what was now lunging straight for him. It was all he could do to duck. The wolf-man seemed less interested in him as what was hunting him. That didn't stop him from firmly planting a claw on the scientist's face to help change the direction of his attack. That was the last thing he remembered.
Next full moon, everything was different...
