History
During the modern time in Kyoto, Japan, there lived a girl with brownish hair and ruby red eyes named, Yoshida Hashimoto. She was born from a wealthy family, but she never wanted the rich life. She was a simple girl, enjoying the simple things in life like reading books and playing with her dolls. Though she wanted to get away from all this, she was forced by her grandparents to stay in Japan. After finishing junior high she decided to live by herself and continue studying in London. Leaving her family and childhood behind, she left for Europe and stayed in an orphanage while she studied in a nearby university. She spends most of her time in the library or in the orphanage, helping the nuns take care of the kids. During her stay with the orphans, she grows to love them.
While studying on the library, she meets and becomes close friends with the librarian named Evangeline. She treats Evangeline like an older sister. They both have an interest in books so everything they do pretty much revolves around the library.
One night while putting the orphans to bed, a loud smashing noise echoed through the halls. Yoshida followed where the sound came from and saw a werewolf eating a helpless child. She felt useless as she witnessed the orphan gets eaten alive. Suddenly two people jumped in and stabbed the werewolf then slashed it in two. When the dust cleared, Yoshida saw a young boy and girl wielding swords and covered in dark clothing. To her surprise, they were vampires, and then she recognized the girl with red hair and eyes. It was Evangeline, but she never reacted. She just said that her name was Black Maiden.
Looking at the dead werewolf and eaten child, Yoshida mustered all her courage and told the two vampires that she wanted to join them to become stronger. Hesitating, Black Maiden looked at the male vampire first. He agreed and let Black Maiden do the rest. Before anything else, Black Maiden confessed that she is Evangeline. The next thing she knew, Yoshida had pale skin and fangs on her teeth. She felt a surge of power through her body. She later joined the two after that incident.
