At the edge of the pier, staring at the pale moon, stood a young woman. She was tall, pale and had a trench coat draped over her shaply figure. Her platform boots reached up to her knees, and her black shorts hung loosely around her waist.
A slight wind picked up, blowing her cropped, bright orange hair into her green eyes. She blinked and brushed away her bangs with a delicate hand.
The wind grew stronger, making her trench coat flutter in the wind. A light reflected against the blade of her rapier, and on the buckle on the sash that kept her shotgun tied to her back.
She stood there for a little while longer, taking in the sight of the boats on the water. They floated there, so quietly, so effortlessly... It reminded her of the night when she had been bitting. It was quiet like this, too, and nothing was moving. She had been a monster slayer back then, but then she was bitten by the vampire, Raven Yanami. Ever since then, a friendship was born. Probably because Raven had spared her, and thought that the freckles on her nose was "just too cute for a slayer."
Audrey Kemp, ex-slayer, turned around and headed down the empty street, a thought in the back of her mind. What would happen that night, that night so much like the one that changed her life? Her hand twitched anxiously over her rapier. Something was comming.
