Character description
I saw the Lycan come to the town that night at midnight through my tower window
Searching for flesh, they destroyed everything and everyone in their path
Two of them came up the pebbled walk to my home and eyed me
I heard them downstairs
There was nothing I could do for my family
My mother
My father
My little brothers and sisters
All Murdered by those beasts
Fortunately they were asleep
My father was a light sleeper though
So they must have gotten to him first, for he was a burly man and would have put up a good fight
Surely I would have heard the struggle
But there was only silence
Before the Lycan could remember I was upstairs I decided to try an escape out of my window using the horrible ivy that grew against the wall
The ivy cut my hands and knees as I descended
As I touched the ground I ran for the fields, for shelter, for my life
I was too slow
Hairy, disgusting, paws, snatched at me and tore at my sleeper
That was when I heard a swishing noise from above and the grips on my body were suddenly gone
Like hurt puppies the Lycan ran away sniveling into the night back to their clan
My savior came to me and picked me off my feet
He was dressed in all black and looked as if he could be human if only his face weren't so deprived of color
I stood there shaking with my clothes torn, scratches up and down my body, a mixture of blood and dirt already drying on my legs, an open gash under my hairline that would leave a scar to this day
I thanked him
He did not speak but looked at me intensely, as if trying to decide something
Then I saw his teeth, and in one quick movement he bit me
I grew weak and fainted
When I awoke it was daylight and my skin was burning from the sun
I wondered why he had saved me to only hurt me in such a way
I realize now he gave me the power to help destroy the Lycan that Murdered my family
I will never forget his face, but if only I knew his name
